Cute and Easy DIY Envelopes
A while back I added a post 12 Awesome Love Letter Ideas, where I shared an anniversary gift idea I did for my husband on our first anniversary. Part of that gift was writing twelve love letters, and then putting them in my own DIY envelopes. I chose blue since that is my husband's favorite color.
Step 1:
Start with a plain envelope, one you might buy from the store.
Step 2:
Unfold the envelope, and it will look something like this. (I have been making my own envelopes for while now, so I do not have the original, thus the pen marks all over this one. It is my stencil since it is made of a very tough card stock).
Step 3:
Pick your paper (I use 12 x 12 scrap booking paper) and trace the unfolded envelope on the back of that page (to prevent pencil marks on the outside of your new envelope). Cut along the line you just traced.
Step 4:
The dotted lines I have outlined is where you want to fold the edges. Then you will glue the edges just like the original envelope was glued. Sometimes I use just a regular glue stick, or if I'm feeling fancy I'll use actual scrap booking glue.
Finished Product:
The finished product will look something like these. (Don't mind the numbers in the corners. These were my husband's envelopes that I put all his letters in).
And wallah!! You are all done!!
