10 Things I Can't Live Without (Other Than Electronics)
As per the title of this post, these are the ten things that I absolutely can not live with out, er, well, would very strongly prefer not to. These are the things that help me be the person I want to be: happy, and kind, and out going. These are things that help me stay active, and the things that help me relax, the things that help me stay on top of things, and the things that help me lay back. Some of the things on my list may be common to many others as well, but some may be a little more personal to me, so I am excited to start putting this list together.
1.) My Husband (Going to Start Off by Getting the Mushy Stuff Out of the Way)
My husband is the best ever. Now I know there are many other great guys out there, just because mine is awesome doesn't mean all others are bad, and I am sure there are many women who would claim that there man is the best ever. I am not here to argue, because here's the thing, they would all be right. My husband though, is the best ever for me. He has strengths that I only ever dream of having, and these strength compliment my own. I can't imagine my life without him, and I hope I never have to. I have learned so much from him, and I have grown to be a better person just by knowing him.
2.) The Temple
The temple is only a part of what I can not live without. Something that has become very important to me over the course of my life is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the most important part about that being my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have come to learn that I could not be what I want to be without Him. I am forever grateful for the opportunity I had to be sealed in the temple to my sweetheart, for all time and eternity. Our marriage will not end with physical death, and that is something I can never take lightly. I am grateful for my relationship with the Savior, and the blessings I have received by knowing Him. This is one thing that I know, I can truly never live without, for in Him, there is eternal life.
3.) Outdoors
I love being outdoors. I love to hike, go for walks, ride horses, camp, all of it. I can definitely be a home body at times, but after being inside for too long, I have to go outside, and do something, anything. I am lucky enough to live in a place where I can drive less than ten minutes and the mountains are right there, and lucky to have a husband that enjoys many of the same things I do. I would go crazy without a little fresh air once in a while.
4.) All Four Seasons (Mainly Fall)
I love the seasons: every single one of them. I enjoy skiing and sledding in the winter, swimming and splashing in the summer, smelling the flowers and dancing in the rain in the spring, and I especially love everything that comes in the fall. It is warm enough that I am not freezing, but cool enough I can wear my cute jackets and scarves, and boots! I love boots. My favorite thing about fall is the pumpkins and the corn mazes. I. Love. Corn mazes. And everything that comes with. Definitely would not want to live somewhere without the fall season.
5.) My Family
6.) Music
How can anyone live without music? Music can make one think, and feel things they wouldn't usually think and feel. It can make people happy, and lift them up. It provides focus, clarity, and expression. Music is a language of its own, a life of its own, and draws people in, in ways nothing else can. The best part about music is that there is something out there for everyone. No one is left without.
7.) Fun
I just like to go and do things, so if that fun means going zip lining through a canyon, great. If it means white water rafting, great. If it means going for a drive down a road I've never been on, or building a blanket fort in the middle of the living room, just as great.
8.) Chocolate
I sure love me some chocolate! Or anything yummy, for that matter. Chocolate especially, though. This picture was taken on our honeymoon. My sweet husband has a dairy allergy, so sometimes it's difficult to find yummy things that actually taste as good as they're supposed to. Brownies, for example, was something we hadn't found yet, so you can imagine my delight when I found out we could, indeed, have chocolaty brownies that taste like real chocolaty brownies! And from a box! Don't worry, I was nice enough to share.
9.) Fuzzy Blankets
Oh how fun this day was! And what a surprise, too! This is a picture from my bridal shower, thus the fun head-wear. The best part was when I walked in and saw my mom and my sisters all sitting there just waiting to surprise me. My family had moved to Montana by that point, so I was not expecting to see them there. The new comfy blanket was just icing on the cake.
10.) Art
Art, to me, is pretty much all encompassing. I have always loved art. I love to write, I love to sing, and read, and draw, scrapbook, and more recently, I am loving learning to quilt. This is a picture from one of my 10 hour projects in the Personal Progress program. I took the time to learn many things from grandparents on both sides, including how to make some pretty fancy, and tasty, wedding cakes. Yum!
I love putting together posts like these, because it not only gives me the chance to blog, but also it gives me the opportunity to really think and learn more about myself, something I highly recommend others do as well. Thanks to anyone to took the time to sit down and learn with me.
